SEOUL, Dec. 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun donated 11.1 tons of rice that he received from his fans all over the world to the country's Salvation Army, his agency said Wednesday.
Kim donated the rice during a ceremony to kick off the Christian charity organization's year-end donation campaign held at Seoul Plaza in central Seoul on Tuesday, Keyeast Entertainment said in a press release.
The rice had been sent by Kim's fans from all over the world since last March to support his work, the agency said.
Keyeast Entertainment said that since 2012, Kim and his fans have donated a total of 20 tons of rice every year to help the needy.
Kim has become a popular household name in China thanks to his lead role in the popular Korean drama "My Love From the Star."
