JAKARTA, Aug. 19 (Yonhap) -- Taekwondo poomsae practitioner Yun Ji-hye earned South Korea's first medal at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia on Sunday.
Yun, 20, lost to Defia Rosmaniar of Indonesia in the women's individual poomsae semifinal and settled for bronze at the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. This was South Korea's first medal at this year's Asiad.
Poomsae, which requires taekwondo practitioners to demonstrate attacking and defense moves of the Korean martial art, is an official Asian Games medal discipline for the first time in Jakarta.
